Description
Enjoy the rugged mountain beauty and solitude of 3,000-acre Rocky Gap State Park, home to Lake Habeeb, a year-round mecca for recreational activities including fishing, swimming, and boating (electric motors only). Hike along Rocky Gap Run as it winds its way through an impressive mile-long gorge with sheer cliffs, overlooks, and a hemlock forest dense with rhododendron. Great place for a family camping adventure!
Featuring scenic campsites nestled into the forest, Rocky Gap's campground includes a beach solely for campground patrons, as well as two beaches within the Day Use area of the park. Boat Rentals are available at all beach locations, though availability varies seasonally. The campground beach area also houses the Camp Store, Nature Center, and Snack Barn, all within walking distance of many campsites, allowing for easy access to many amenities.
